With school holidays just around the corner, local families can book their seats to enjoy a free screening of DC League of Super-Pets at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
The screening takes place on 20 September from 10.30 am and is part of Bundaberg Regional Council’s school holiday program.
DC League of Super-Pets is a PG rated film based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets and features the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Kate McKinnon.
The movie follows Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman who are inseparable best friends sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis together.
When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.
Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the free screening should make for a great morning outing for young and old.
“There is plenty of family fun on offer these school holidays and free films are always a popular part of the program,” Cr Learmonth said.
“Make sure to book your tickets before they’re all gone and have a look at the school holiday guide for lots of other free activities to keep everyone busy.”
Young film fans can also enjoy the excitement and intrigue of the latest children’s animated blockbuster movie at Childers Library on 28 September from 10 am.
This mystery film is suitable for all ages and while the screening is free, bookings are essential. They can be made by calling 4130 4650.
