With all the excitement surrounding DC and Marvel’s upcoming crossover event, it’s no wonder DC’s own company-wide crossover has slipped under the radar—especially with little to no promotion from the publisher. But if you’re a fan of Teen Titans Go! and the wider DC Universe, this ongoing crossover is one you won’t want to miss.
Sholly Fisch, Dario Brizuela, Franco Riesco, and Saida Temofonte’s Teen Titans Go! #1 kicks off an ongoing crossover event spanning the series. The first issue is a wild ride of humor, fourth-wall breaks, and shenanigans as the team scrambles to stay relevant after an editor informs them that DC is “canceling” their comic.
Desperate to save their series, they try everything—from experimenting with new story genres to complete character redesigns. However, their most outrageous tactic is disrupting the stories of DC’s top heroes in a bold attempt to force DC’s hand. By inserting themselves into other heroes’ narratives, the Titans unintentionally set off a massive, hilarity-filled crossover event.

As previously mentioned, one of the Titans’ tactics is trying to make DC’s other heroes irrelevant by preventing them from performing their heroic duties. For example, they sabotage Batman by unplugging the Bat-Signal, leaving Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD unable to call him. As a result, the Dark Knight, unaware of any crimes needing his attention, stays home. Meanwhile, Robin disguises himself as an astronomer and tricks Superman into leaving Earth by claiming he has discovered a distant planet where Kryptonians—along with his parents and ice cream—are waiting for him.
