She made a big splash in her mother’s ongoing title and now Wonder Woman’s daughter Trinity is about to get her very own miniseries. Elizabeth Marston Prince might only be an infant, but a new miniseries is about to bridge multiple eras of her life for an exciting and fun adventure.
It seems only like yesterday that Wonder Woman’s daughter Trinity made her first appearance in comics. Now, months after it was first teased, Trinity is about to be the star of her own miniseries, which will feature not one, not two, but three versions of Trinity, all different ages.
In an unlettered preview from the upcoming Trinity-focused miniseries posted on X, the three Trinities can be seen gathered in the park. While the oldest versions of Trinity argue with one another, the youngest Trinity bonds with one of the ‘Super-Corgis’ and gives him head scratches and belly rubs.
DC Fans Get a Sneak Peek at New Trinity Miniseries
Three Trinities for Three Times the Fun and Comedy
During Wonder Woman #800, the story “Trinity” introduced Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor’s daughter in a story set in the future. But it wasn’t until Wonder Woman #14, after Steve was killed by the Sovereign that Diana used the fragments of her and her partner’s souls to bring Trinity into the world. Though Trinity is just an infant now, her future has been seen in numerous Wonder Woman back-up stories that show her growing up and bonding with Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne and while Trinity often brings chaos to their lives, there’s a love shared between the three heroes.
While the upcoming Trinity series hasn’t been officially announced just yet, fans have gotten several peeks into this series and this new tease is just the latest. It’s hard to tell what exactly is bringing the various versions of Lizzie together, though the teaser in last year’s Trinity Special: World’s Finest hinted that they’re on a quest to find their missing father. But what one can tell from this sneak peek is that it’s going to have all the same humor and charm featured in King and Belén Ortega’s backup strips that made Wonder Woman’s daughter a fan-favorite character.
Trinity Takes After Her Mother For Hilarious New Adventures
Trinity’s Upcoming Series Looks to Be Just as Fun as Her First Stories
What’s really fun about the idea of different eras of Trinity working together is she’s actually following in her mother’s footsteps. During the Silver Age, Wonder Woman teamed up with different iterations of herself from various points in her life (particularly her Wonder Girl and Wonder Tot forms). Trinity appears to be modernizing that phase and adding in her own brand of chaos and comedy.
Perhaps it’s a bit too early to say, but this sneak peek looks like it’s got a lot of heart and charm to it. Wonder Woman might be dealing with some heavy topics, but Trinity’s adventures have always leaned more towards lighthearted fun. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Wonder Woman’s daughter teams up with herself to create an undoubtedly chaotic and entertaining situation.
